Anxiety can present differently in different people, but common experiences of it include:

Everyone is unique, and it depends on you and the changes you’d like to make, but it is helpful to have a feel for how many sessions we may work together for.
For some people, only a very brief period of working together is required, such as for phobias, where typically 4-6 sessions are enough to resolve the problem.
More usually, for more general anxiety issues we will work together for 6-12 sessions to explore and resolve the roots of the problem, learn skills and tools and embed new insights and behaviours, so that new neural pathways are formed for lasting positive change.
For some the journey may take longer, and we will work together over a period of months to address long-standing/deep-rooted issues, or resolve a number of concerns.
I can give a more personalised indication of how many sessions you’re likely to need in your free 30 minute consultation.

A safe supportive space for talking is important in therapy, but my approach combines this with practical tools and strategies and a focus on building new skills.
I use hypnosis to create lasting change and work at a deep level where we can tap into your unconscious beliefs and fears and resolve the deep-seated issues that have been creating anxiety and holding you back.
It’s important that we work to not only make sense of what’s going on for you, but also to change things for the better. My work with each person is unique, as everything is tailored to best fit your needs, and may also include practical tools to calm and reset your nervous system and regulate emotions.
As well as hypnosis, I use breathwork, polyvagal and somatic tools, mind-body techniques and meditation in my work.
I work integratively, drawing from a range of evidence-based theoretical approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and psychodynamic approaches. There is no one-size-fits-all, as you deserve the right approach for you.
