I believe therapy should be about more than just talking -
though we’ll do plenty of that too.

You want real results from the time we spend together, so as well as talking about what’s going on, I use hypnosis to help you make powerful change at a deep, subconscious level and get to the bottom of what’s really causing the difficulties you’ve been struggling with - and change them for good. I also help you learn practical skills, tools and techniques to keep calm and focused and regulate your nervous system in difficult moments, so you can handle whatever life throws at you - without getting overwhelmed.

My training in hypno-psychotherapy allows us to draw from a toolbox of strategies from hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and mind-body approaches that combine to help you create the powerful, positive change you deserve.

I help you move from feeling anxious to feeling your calmest, most confident and optimistic self, by changing the root cause of your anxiety and lack of self-belief, and equipping you with the tools you need to handle stress and anxiety.

I use hypnosis to help you uncover the unconscious beliefs and blocks that have been driving your difficulties. Past traumas and painful experiences can be processed and released, so you can heal and no longer be held back.

We access new ways of thinking and behaving, so you feel calm, confident and optimistic about life, in mind and body.

Panic attacks and phobias can be effectively resolved in hypnosis, by tapping into their unconscious drivers and changing them.

  • Changing the subconscious programming that is maintaining your anxiety, panic attacks or phobia, so you can live life without restriction

But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to struggle with difficulties like anxiety, lack of confidence or infertility.

I get it because I’ve been where you are now and know how difficult and painful it is. I’ve suffered from anxiety.  I’ve held myself back from achieving my potential at work because of lack of confidence. I’ve suffered from a phobia. And I’ve struggled with infertility and faced the possibility I might never become a mother.

Since then, I’ve become a much calmer, confident person, living a happier, more fulfilling life. I’ve helped many clients overcome their difficulties by creating positive change, and live life fully and freely. I want to help you get that too.

I know it can feel impossible to believe you can ever feel calm and confident in the face of everything life throws at you. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained and experienced hypnotherapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through, and a strong commitment to help you get to where you want to be.

My style

I’m not an old-school, aloof and distant psychotherapist and I’m not an old-fashioned hypnotist either - I never, under any circumstances, make anybody cluck like a chicken! My clients describe me as down to earth, creative, kind and calm.

I’m not afraid to gently challenge you when need be, but I’m right there side-by-side with you, giving you a supportive and safe space to process the painful stuff, while also helping you find everything in you that will help you grow. I’m all about practical action and results, so while we’ll always go at the pace you’re comfortable with, I’ll be firmly focused on helping you resolve old difficulties and learn skills and tools to get the outcomes you desire.

I’ll create a safe, non-judgemental space for you to make the changes you want to make. No feelings or topics are off-limits, but I don’t believe therapy needs to be all doom and gloom, it can be full of creativity and compassion - and we might even laugh sometimes - and you can feel comfortable knowing you’re fully accepted for exactly who you are.

 My methods

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy helps you quieten your conscious, thinking mind and access your subconscious mind to resolve past painful events and unhelpful beliefs and patterns of responding. It’s an effective state to work on learning new, healthy beliefs and skills and ways of operating in mind and body. It also helps you easily get into a very relaxed place, which can otherwise seem impossible when you’re anxious or overwhelmed.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is talking therapy that helps you make sense of your difficulties and find new ways of overcoming problems. I combine a range of psychotherapeutic approaches with hypnotherapy, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Transactional Analysis and psychodynamic theories. There is no one-size-fits-all as you deserve the right approach for you.

Mind-body therapy

Mind-body therapies help you use your mind to influence how your body works. They can reduce anxiety and depression, relieve stress, increase fertility, restore good sleep, ease pain, reduce fatigue, relieve IBS and migraines and regulate your nervous system - to name a few! I use a range of mind-body techniques including breathwork, hypnosis, meditation and somatic practices, and draw on Somatic Experiencing and Polyvagal Theories in therapy.
